For smaller and more intimate events, our adaptable private dining spaces on level 38 can be shaped to fit your occasion. Booked individually the cloud-inspired rooms are ideal for 18 to 50 guests dependent on layout, while double rooms or whole floor bookings allow for larger gatherings of up to 130 guests.

Events, private dinners or conferences at The Gherkin are lavishly catered for with bespoke breakfast, lunch and dinner menus that brings to life Searcys’ passion for British produce and seasonality.

From board meetings and intimate wedding parties to five-course feasts and birthday dinners, our five private dining rooms can be combined and shaped to fit your occasion. With exclusive hire, you will have access to all five private dining rooms on level 38 of The Gherkin offering stunning views of the city with one entire glass wall from floor to ceiling. The building itself if breathtaking and being at the very top is a special experience, however there’s not much more to it. The interiors are cheap feat. fake flowers on tables, the uncomfortable plastic furniture makes it look like a museum cafe/canteen. The staff is quite inattentive - took active effort to get the bill. The cocktails are overly sweet and lack any sort of complexity which would make paying £12.50 and over for one worth it. A nice place to pop in for a quick cup of coffee, take in the views and go, however wouldn’t pick for an occasion.

Just the place to go to unwind and enjoy the spectacular views of the city. The staff were very friendly and attentive. My husband works at the Gherkin and it's very handy to make us a reservation. Have been a few times and it's nice to see different themes everytime we went.

It's currently (early July 2018) doing a soft launch as an actual restaurant and bar, as opposed to a private club which is sometimes open to the public. Amazing all round: food, service, views. You have to pay a high price for all of this, but if you can afford it, it's certainly worth it for a special occasion.

This certainly isn't the first bar I think of when it comes to sky high locations with views but I'm really happy I found it. Reservations are plentiful and unlike its neighbour Sky Garden, Iris bar is small and quiet so it's perfect for a date night or small group. The views are equally as nice as other locations and the cocktail menu is decent. Expect to pay £13+ for a cocktail and £50+ for a bottle of wine.
